Mueang SamutSakhon was changed to “Changwat SamutSakhon” as it is still known at the present time. The word “Maha Chai” that people usuallyused is the name of a canal dug across thecrooked Khlong Khok Kham which is thesymbol of the loyalty of Phanthai Norasing.Samut Sakhon covers an area of 872 squarekilometres and is divided into 3 districts(Amphoes); namely, Amphoe Mueang, AmphoeKrathum Baen and Amphoe Ban Phaeo.BOUNDARYNorth Borders with Bangkok and Nakhon Pathom.South Borders with Samut Songkhram and the Gulf of Thailand.West Borders with Samut Songkhram and Ratchaburi.East Borders with Bangkok, Samut Songkhram and Samut Prakan.HOW TO GET THEREBy car : from Bangkok can be as follows:1) From Bang Pakaeo Intersection.
